Midas Studios is a premier recording studio, located on the west coast of Finland, 15 minutes outside of Vaasa on the island of Raippaluoto.

The Idea

The idea was simple – to build a world class studio meeting the needs of contemporary artists and producers recording in a new era.

Midas Studios This week is going to be fun!!! Anders will be mixing Opus Symbiosis new album. Petter is working with KG Backholm on yet another album...yes, what can we say, the man is very productive. Third album/project in about a year... =) On wednesday we will have some students from Åbo Akademi visit us. We are also super excited to report that we have now sold our old Steinway, build in 1913, and we're waiting for the new grand piano to arrive later this week!

Midas Studios We're back from an exciting and eventful trip to Helsinki with Dani Strombäck. We tried out several grand pianos and found a favorite Yamaha C7. We actually preferred it over a Steinway which was almost double the price...Anyway, when we got back to Vasa and were going out to the parking lot Dani bumped/cut his head on some sort of traffic sign and we ended up rushing to the emergency room..! He will probably get some stitches...Waiting to hear from him...

Midas Studios Getting ready for an intense weekend! We've got two completely different sessions coming up. First up is a live jazz recording session with, drums, bass, piano and a horn section...and after that a high octane rock band called "Lucy got lucky" will be heating up the studio for the rest of the weekend. Good times!

Midas Studios We've recorded 4 tracks for this cool band over the weekend and today it's time to finish the mix. We went old school and recorded everything live. Man, ain't that nice for a change!?! =) Ok, so maybe we did a couple of guitar and vocal overdubs but still, we were done recording in just 2 days. And it sounds great!
